About us
The parents of hallen, Mikael and Edite, are also parents in real life. In 2024, we settled for a calmer, small-town life in western Latvia, somewhere in between our original hometowns.
Mikael took his first steps in music production as a childhood bedroom producer in rural Sweden. Later, he studied songwriting and music business in Stockholm, and since then, the spider’s web of sound work has only spread. Analog gear, live recordings, mixing, recording jam sessions, video production, podcasts, beats, gigs - you name it, he’s tried it. See Mikael’s portfolio below.
Edite’s background is in project management across various digital and design agencies in Sweden and Latvia. However, music business, podcast industry, and live music have been constant companions throughout her life, and they can now all happily coexist within the hallen venture.
Lester, the field spaniel, is hallen’s lead mood manager and, without a doubt, the most valued member of the hallen team.
